Judgement under pressure, not compliance training

A programme on ethical judgement in organisational life: real dilemmas, competing obligations, and decisions that must be explained afterwards.

The challenge

What this programme addresses

Ethics failures rarely come from an absence of policy. They come from pressure, ambiguity and incentives. This programme works on the judgement itself: how managers reason when the right answer is genuinely contested.

Audience

Who it is for

  • MBA, EMBA and professional masters cohorts
  • Senior managers and governance-facing roles
  • Compliance, risk and leadership development groups

Outcomes

What participants can do afterwards

  1. 01

Analyse ethical dilemmas using more than one defensible framework

  2. 02

Recognise the organisational conditions that produce ethical failure

  3. 03

Justify a decision publicly, including its costs

  4. 04

Design decision processes that surface ethical risk earlier

Learning experience

How it is taught

Case-based and dialogic. Participants take positions, are challenged on them, and write reasoned arguments rather than summaries.

  • Real ethics and compliance cases
  • Position-taking and structured challenge
  • Written argument with individual feedback
  • Reflection on personal and organisational decision habits

Possible formats

  • Executive briefing
  • Short intensive workshop
  • Credit-bearing postgraduate module
  • In-house programme
